I
feel a little lost. I once knew my way
and knew in my heart that I was on the right path. But lately … I’ve wandered and I’m seeking to
find myself again.
I
can hear some of you now. P Michael
Biggs, what in the world has happened.
What are you talking about?
Just
this.
I’ve
been writing steadily since October 2009.
This blog – Morning Notes – is
my flagship blog and perhaps one of my favorites.
I’ve
written over 350 blogs in this period of time and garnered a wonderful
following in readership. For all of that
I am grateful.
Along
the way I’ve slowly added more blogs, each fighting to find its own voice, its
own style and audience. I never expected
all of my readers to read each and every one of my blogs. If you have and do, God bless you to the max.
When
I launched Internet Church in
February 2013 I started to slowly move away from the God-stuff in Morning Notes with the intent of
allowing Internet Church to solely become
the address for that part of my writing.
For
a while I still mixed the God-stuff into Morning
Notes, but my marketing mindset kicked in and I had thoughts along the line
of “keep them separate. Keep the lines
clean and pure.” So I set out on a
strategy of keeping Internet Church
as my spiritually minded blog and attempted to turn Morning Notes into more of a purely inspirational holding place.
Well,
I don’t know how some of you feel about this, and I would dearly love some
feedback, but I’m not exactly happy with my output lately.
I
have a total of six blogs that I write every week – and I have a definite
identity for the other five. I am
struggling with this one.
So
… I’m taking the restraints off Morning
Notes. I’m going to get back to
allowing God and my mind to find the niche, the subject matter that works in
any given week. If it happens to be
along a spiritual mindset, so be it. If
it drives down the road of purely inspiration, then that is well and good too.
I
guess this is what most writers go through at some point in their lives, at
least that is what I’ve read from some trusted sources.
What
can you do? If you are a praying person,
then say a pray or three for me. If you
feel inclined, write to me and give me some insight, some topics, some ideas that
you feel might make good content. My
email address is pmichaelbiggs@gmail.com
I
do know that the books I read usually drive my content, and I still read good
books.
Well,
I’ve now exposed my dilemma.
Here
is what I know. I love to write more
than just about any other pursuit that has ever come across my life. From what others tell me, and especially the
guy who published my first book, I must be reasonably good at writing, and for
that I am thankful.
I
know I have encouraged some of you for you have responded in person, in email
or on Facebook, and I think I’ve kept every one of those notes. The passion – yes PASSION in my heart is to
write words of hope, encouragement and inspiration, one word at a time.
I
intend to continue doing just that.
Join
me, pray for me that I once again find my voice for this particular blog and I can
get back to my main knitting.
I
care very much that I offer you those words that bring life and hope to your
daily life.
Humbly
offered.
P Michael Biggs
